This replacement Central Filter sits inside the outer fine rotating filter in your dishwasher. The purpose of the filter is to catch large food particles and prevent them from clogging up the dishwashers drain. If you suffer poor wash results and food residue still present on your dishes at the end of the cycle, then the Central Filter may need replacing.
