Heating Element / Pump Cover / Body (Has Small Top Inlet )

The primary function of the heater element in your dishwasher is to maintain the temperature of the water that is coming into the unit. The other function is that it heats the air inside of the unit during the drying cycle to make the evaporation process faster.

If you have a damaged or faulty heater you will notice that your dishes do not come out as clean as they normally do, as the water is not staying hot throughout the entire program.
