Door Rope

The dishwasher door uses a spring connected to a hinge brake rope to provide resistance to the door!

A damaged or worn brake rope results in the door just popping open. If your dishwasher door is not secure and you are having problems with opening and closing it, then it could be faulty door hinge brake ropes.

The door hinge rope connects the dishwasher cabinet to the door spring.
