The food processor cutting disc sits on top of the bowl rather than in it. You simply put your food through the feed tube on the lid and it hits the Parmesan Grating Disc first, which grates it, before falling into the bowl of the food processor.

With a new sharp parmesan grater disc you can cut up some fresh parmesan and grate hard cheeses such as - Pecorino, Gruyere and Romano. It is also great for crushing ice, making breadcrumbs and grating chocolate.
