Main Oven Thermostat : EGO 55.17069.210

This replacement Main Oven Thermostat plays an important role in the operation of your cooker or oven.

It is responsible for regulating temperature and is usually be located inside the oven. This thermostat features a capillary tube or "phial" as it can be known, with a probe containing a gas. The gas inside the capillary tube expands and contracts in accordance with the oven temperature, which in turns switches the thermostat on/off to maintain the selected temperature.

The thermostat may be a factor in your cooker failure if you are experiencing any of the following:

- The oven overheats and burns everything
- The oven is failing to reach the required temperature
