The motor in your Dyson vacuum cleaner creates suction power that picks up the dust and debris from your surfaces.

If your vacuum cleaner is not performing to its usual high powered standards, it could be due to a faulty motor.

Some of the main problems that can cause the vacuum's motor to stop functioning include power failure, wire damage, blown fuse, or overheating. With age or excessive use, your cleaner's motor begins to lose power, causing wear on other parts and weakening the vacuum's cleaning suction.

If the motor is not working correctly, then the overall cleaning performance of your vacuum will suffer.
